NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Letterkenny Army Depot (LEAD) intends to issue a sole source, firm fixed price contract to BAE Systems Land & Armaments, 110 Bairs Road, York PA 17408, for the acquisition of Bottom Side Shield P/N: 12539046 Qty: 524; Center Shield, Qty: 262; Side Door Lip Seal, P/N: 12560894, Qty: 6,500 feet; Ramp Lip Seal, P/N 12560895 Qty: 1,500 feet for the purpose of converting RG33L Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles into Panther Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) Route Clearance vehicles (RCV's). . The Statutory Authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition for this action is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as cited in FAR 6.302-1, when there is a supply or service available only from one or a limited number of responsible sources, and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy the agency's needs. Solicitation number W911N2-13-T-0049 will be released O/A 25 February 2013 and close O/A 12 March 2013. The FOB Point is Lettekenny Army Depot (Destination). The annotated closing date for the solicitation is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the release of the solicitation.
