NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE Firm-Fixed Price Purchase Order to Gaithersburg Cabinetry and Millwork Co., Inc., 4338 Aiken Dr Warrenton, VA 20187-3933 for procurement and installation of POD console furniture. This notice is not a request for competitive solicitation of offers. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative written response is received, the purchase will be awarded without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Gaithersburg Cabinetry and Millwork Co., Inc is a small business. DTRA's Logistics & Facilities, Engineering Dept has affirmative determination that Gaithersburg Cabinetry & Millwork Co., Inc, is the only qualified source based on past performance. They have discharged duties as a subcontractor from the previous work at DTRA. In addition, they have shown satisfactory performance record, integrity and business ethics, operational controls and technical skills, able to deliver and comply with performance schedule taking into considerations all existing commercial and Government business commitments. SCOPE: A commercial procurement, delivery and installation service of custom POD console furniture is required for the renovated spaces within Defense Threat Reduction Complex (DTRC). This renovation is being completed to create a collaborative workspace and to modernize and upgrade the workstations within the space. REQUIREMENT: Two (2) POD consoles containing four (4) workstations per POD shall be procured and installed. The specific design of the console will conform to the as-built design of the PODs completed and installed into the DTRC complex. The POD console components shall be assembled to a point where safe shipment, maneuverability, and installation of the components can take place. The assembled portions will require to be maneuvered through and around doorways and existing workstations. All components of the POD consoles shall be completely manufactured no later than November 14, 2013. Installation of the POD consoles shall begin November 18, 2013. If requested, a copy of Statement of Work can be provided to interested parties. WARRANTY: All fixed structural frame components shall have a lifetime warranty. All static panels and work surface components shall have a warranty period of five (5) years. All adjustable, sliding or hinged mechanisms or parts shall have a warranty of one (1) year.
