71--Matching system furniture for Civilian Personnel Assistance Center, Fort Shafter, HI

This is a notice of the Government's intent to issue a sole-source award for the transfer of existing system furniture workstations currently in Fort Shafter Building 1507, to Building T-126. Requirement includes the purchase of 12 new workstations to be incorporated and reconfigured into a total of 26 workstations. Reference: FAR 6.302-5(a)(2)(ii) The Regional Contracting Office-Hawai'i (RCO_HI) hereby gives notice of intent to award a Sole-Source Commercial, firm, fixed-price contract under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-5(a)(2)(ii) for the purchase of Herman Miller system furniture. Supplies and services to include moving and reconfiguration of 14 existing Herman Miller workstations `in Fort Shafter Building 1507, to be incorporated with 12 new matching workstations to accommodate an increase in staff in Building T-126. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotations. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government.
