71--NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO Knoll INC. to provide furniture for the Mobile USACE District Office

Contractor: Knoll, Inc. Approximate Value: Under $47,000. The Government hereby issues its notice of intent to sole source to Knoll, Inc. for the purchase of office furniture for the USACE Mobile District Office. It was determined that the furniture provided are the only fit based on the government office renovation style for the entire building. Knoll, Inc. is the only source that can provide the requested supplies without substantial duplication of cost and delays to the Government. This Notice of Intent is not a request for Expressions of Interest (EOIs), proposals or quotations. No solicitation document exists. No contract award will be made on the basis of EOIs, proposals or quotations received in response to this notice. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide the services sought including pricing data and technical data sufficient enough to determine that a comparable source to the Government is available. The Government will be the sole determiner regarding an offeror's ability to meet all requirements. The Government will consider all EOIs received prior to 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This purchase will be under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 6.302-1.
