NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE I. The Michael E. Debakey Veteran Affairs Medical Center (MEDVAMC) intends to solicit and award a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed-Price contract with one Large Business (LB) source, Dentsply North America, LLC., 221 W. Philadelphia St, Suite 60W York, PA 17401. Contractor will provide delivery and all other resources to procure Name Brand or Equal to purchase two (2) CEREC Speed fire Ovens, two (2) CEREC Prime mill Stations (tabletop, countertop, and base), along with Disposable Camera Sleeves for a Primescan intraoral scanner. The contractor will provide all necessary equipment/hardware, software, licenses, delivery, warranty, and training for the Alexandria VA HCS Dental Services, 2495 Shreveport Highway, Pineville, LA 71360. The items being procured will work in conjunction with brand name equipment that is being procured from Strategic Acquisition Center (SAC) Contract #36C10G21D0013 (Dentsply North America, LLC). These items are not yet listed on the SAC contract; however, the vendor/manufacturer has requested an amendment to the contract to have items added. These items are necessary for the contracted equipment to work properly and complete the desired function. The Central Dental Laboratory (CDL) for VHA Dental Services is taking a phased approach to digital dentistry where VHA Dental Clinics will all be transitioning into digital impressions and CEREC milling systems. The SAC contract was put into place so that Dental Clinics can begin transitioning into this digital phase. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition, as authorized by FAR 6.302-1 and in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b). The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price contract, in accordance with FAR 16.202-1. IV. The anticipated award date is June 30, 2021. V. Please note that this is not a request for competitive quotes and is being posted for informational purposes only. Interested contractors, in addition shall provide the following information as an attachment to your response: 1. Identify any other companies owned (wholly or in-part) by the owners of this business who provide goods or services under the same or a related NAICS codes. 2. Interested parties shall identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement within five (days) calendar days of the publication of this notice.
