The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source: Submersible Systems Huntington Beach, CA 92648-1213 manufacturer for this equipment. The procurement will be conducted on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory auth ority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1)as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b), for 250 each Spare Air Unit Model 300YEL, 250 each Holster Model 973VM, 2 each Air Compressor Model 3100-COM and 4 each Air Compressor Adapter Model 920CM!! The basis for restricting competiti on is because Submersible Systems is the manufacturer for this equipment. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 339920. Small business size standard is 500 employees. This sole source requirement will be procured under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition and awarded on an unrestricted basis. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE OFFERS and solicitation will not be issued; however; any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 5 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed. Numbered Note 22 applies to this Synopsis. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion o f the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source negotiation with the manufacturer Submersible Systems.
