NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8) intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price, contract to ScriptPro for a Compact Robotic Prescription Dispensing System (CRS). The CRS will integrate with existing SP's platform SP Central. Vendor: ScriptPro, Anticipated Award Date: Sep 30, 2014 Authority: The statutory exception permitting other than full and open competition for this acquisition is: 41USC 253(c)(5), by FAR 6.302-1(c) Only one source and No other Supplies will satisfy Agency Requirements NAICS: 339999/Size Standard: 500 EMP Item Description Quantity 0001 Compact Robotic Prescription Dispensing System 1 0002 Electronic Door Locks for CRS 1 0003 Installation 1 0004 Training 1 The CRS will integrate with existing SP's platform SP Central. The system tracks all areas of the pharmacy (mail, window, narcotics, and supplies). The CRS is a prescription dispensing system capable of filling directly from the dispensing cell into the vial. The system prints and applies prescription and auxiliary labels, and delivers uncapped vials for final inspection and on-screen drug image verification; capability to choose between 13 different vial manufacturers and sizes (12 dram - 60 dram); hold up to 600 vials at once; able to fully calibrate on-site. The system is able to print a physical description of the drug, including a line drawing, on the prescription label. The systems' auxiliary warning label function supports multiple languages. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any Contractor registered to conduct business with the government that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirement. Responses received will be reviewed. However, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.
