The U.S. Special Operations Command, Technology Applications Contracting Office intends to modify contract number H92241-04-C-0038 to procure 660 Round Magazines, 660 Round Magazines Refurbished and Non-Recurring Engineering services resulting in production data packages for the 660 Round Magazine Pallet and Cover System for the M230 30mm Chaingun. The intended source is Western Design Inc., 16952 Millikan Avenue, Irvine CA 92606-5045. The procurement of this item is being conducted on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Western Design is the original equipment manufacturer of the M230 Chain Gun Ammunition Handling Systems. Western Design possesses the proprietary data and drawings for the M230 Ammunition Handling Systems. No other contractor has the experience to provide the required items by the required delivery dates. Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to this procurement are not available and cannot be furnished. Required Delivery is three (3) months ARO.
