--Research and development of a semi-permeable membrane for use in a forward osmosis hydration device.

The U.S. Army RDECOM Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division, Natick, MA on behalf the Naval Health Research Center, intends to negotiate and award a contract to Hydration Technologies, Inc.(HTI), Albany, OR, on a sole-source basis in respons e to an unsolicited proposal, which demonstrated a unique and innovated approach. HTI will develop and field-test a self-contained forward osmosis hydration device that will extract water from a non-potable source including seawater to produce a safe hydra tion drink using a forward osmosis through a semi-permeable membrane.
