--Intent to Sole Source to Goodyear Mfg. for 939 series 5T Truck tires.

This is a notice of intent to procure a single source contract with Wingfoot Commercial Tire Systems, LLC #123, Topeka, KS 66618 for tires for use in repair of the 939 series 5T Truck. The contract will be awarded pursuant to FAR 6.301(a) Only One R esponsible Source and No Other Supplies Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Goodyear is the original equipment manufacturer of the tires and is the only known source capable of manufacturing the tires required in the maintenance of the truck. If someone o ther than Goodyear believes they have the capability of providing these special tires, provide in writing specific qualifications, to include prior contracts and prior performance information. We are not interested in setting up sources for new manufacturi ng. The specialized tires are as follows: (1100 R x 20) ABS  shall meet military specification 2610-01-473-3997. The estimated value of this contract is $396,000.00. The estimated quantity is approximately 990, with an order for 330 tires each month in April, May & June. Tires are to be delivered to Ft.Riley, KS. All tires delivered throughout the contract need to be the same brand for compatibility purposes.
