This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract to Cross Match Technologies, Inc.

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic intends to award a sole source firm fixed price (FFP) purchase order to Cross Match Technologies, Inc. 3950 Rca Blvd 5001 Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410-4227 for Guardian USB with Autocapture and Rolls fingerprint scanner devices. The purpose of this requirement is to provide twelve (12) Guardian USB with Autocapture and Rolls fingerprint scanner devices that are Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) approved and compliant with current Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) standards. This contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, a vendor that believes it that it can meet the requirements herein may give written notice to the Contracting Officer not later than 24 September 2014. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. A determination by the Government whether or not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Response to this sole source notice is not required.
