Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, it is the Government's intent to award a sole source purchase to Tandberg, Inc., 1860 Michael Faraday Drive, Suite 250, Reston, VA for the purchase of Tandberg 3000 MXP Profile, Tandberg 3000 MXP Profile, Tandberg Centric 1000 MXP Maintenance, Tandberg Centric 1000 MXP-Customer Core Service. Tandberg has the equipment needed that has been tested and approved by the requesting activity to have the makes and previous models in operation. These products have been eva luated and tested first-hand to have dependabiilty, ruggedness, parts compatibility and the ability to execute continuous software upgrades to equipment. This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a Request for Quotation or Propos al. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that compet ition would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the purchase will be awarded without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract price based on this notice is sole ly within the discretion of the Government.
