The Thomas E. Creek Medical Center, Amarillo, TX 79106 intends to negotiate a firm fixed-price contract with Neomend Inc, 60 Technology Drive, Irvine, CA 92618 on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-2, Unusual and Compelling Urgency requirement. The acquisition will be accomplished using commercial item procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12 for the emergency procurement of a Progel Pleural Air Leak Sealant Kit, PGPS002, for Surgical Services. The contractor shall be required to provide aforementioned kit, PGPS002, by no later than close of business January 17, 2011 to this station. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 423450. Any firms who wish to identify their interests and capability to provide this service must provide proof that authorization from the manufacturer has been attained by notifying the Contracting Officer no later than 12:00 (noon) Central Standard Time, January 12, 2012. Such notification must include any documentation that includes certifications and description of services that meets or exceeds the capabilities of the manufacturer. Responses received will be evaluated, however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Thomas E. Creek Medical Center will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Neomend Inc. This notice is not request for competitive proposals or quotes.
