Distance entrance window-chamber body 0.3 mm; Open chamber volume; Cable length 1.5 m, connecting system BNT. Sole Source determination is based on the following: The equipment is necessary to develop the NIST electronic brachytherapy facility. The PTW TN34013 is the only chamber that fits the geometric conditions of the setup. The required chamber, with all its features, is only manufactured by PTW. Extensive research has been conducted to identify the appropriateness of this chamber for this application. This research includes previous use at NIST, independent users, the manufacturer and the developer of the skin dose applicators who use this as part of their proprietary system. The requested model PTW chamber is part of a proprietary measurement system, which will be used to support the development of the NIST facility. The proprietary skin dose applicators require this type chamber for traceability. The chamber needs to be available for purchase. A new design is unacceptable. The performance history of this model chamber is well defined and the cost and time of repeating the research is impossible and unnecessary for the time frame of the project. The period of performance for this product shall be SEVEN (7) days after receipt of the purchase order. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 423450. No solicitation package will be issued. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond ot his requirement.
