Single Source Announcement - Annual Maintenance Support on Stratus ft Servers 6210 and 6300

In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single-source procedures. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a contract to Stratus Technologies, Inc., of Dublin, Ireland to provide our Stratus ftServer6210 and 6300 servers annual maintenance support. Stratus servers are currently operational in the NAS and are used as the hardware platform for components of the NADIN, ADAS, and WMSCR systems. They are also used in the development, System Test and Training environments used by both 1st and 2nd level support personnel for these NAS systems. Stratus Technologies Inc. is the sole manufacturer of the Stratus ftServer 6210 and 6300 and its subsystem components and retains the proprietary data rights and is the only vendor capable of providing the required maintenance support. A competitive competition is not available for this requirement. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. The FAA is not liable for any costs associated with the preparing of a response to this announcement.
