THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. A SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. The National Institutes of Health, Clinical Center (NIH CC) Pharmacy Department, intends to enter into a contract on a sole source basis, under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (2) and FAR 6.302-2(a) (2) (ii) and HHSAR 306.302-2 (a) (2) (ii), a contract, entitled "Actimmune." This contract is necessary to provide critical treatments uninterrupted to patient at the Clinical Center. The Clinical Center (CC), Pharmacy Department plans to procure, on a sole source basis, Actimmune with Curascript, 6272 Lee Vista Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32822. Curascript has a track record of providing high quality products and services to the Clinical Center. Curascript is the only source that provides Actimmune. This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 12 - Acquisition for Commercial Items and will be made pursuant to the authority in FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) and 13.501-(a)(1) to use simplified procedures for commercial acquisitions. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 424210 and the business size standard is 100 employees. Only one award will be made as a result of this contract action. This will be a firm fixed price type contract not-to-exceed $47,656.80. Immediate delivery is expected following contract award. The purpose of the procurement is to obtain Actimmune, a medicine that is critical to patient care. A proper supply of this medicine is vitally important to critical needs to many patients.
