RNA sample prep kits for sequencing

U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agriculture Research Service in Beltsville, Maryland intends to award a sole source contract to Illumina, Inc. located in San Diego, California, for the following 3 items (1) Catalog number: FC-122-1001, TruSeq RNA Sample Kit, Set A, quantity of 1 each; (2) Catalog number: GD-401-3001, TruSeq Cluster Kit v3, quantity of 4 each; (3) Catalog number FC-401-3002, TruSeq SBS Kit v3 - HS, quantity of 8 each. The kits purchased must be compatible with existing laboratory equipment used for DNA sequencing, which is currently based on Illumina, Inc. technology. No other kits are compatible with this equipment. Illumina, Inc. is the only distributor of this product. The anticipated award date is August 3, 2011.
