Description
There is no solicitation. The United States Fish and Wildlife Service, Contracting and General Services Division in Portland, OR has plans to award using other than full and open competition to American Marine Corporation of Honolulu Hawaii to furnish a 240 foot barge with Coast Guard Certification to carry fuel and hazardous materials in IMOs and bulk containers on the deck of the barge. Barge must have the capacity to carry a minimum 4000 tons and will depart Honolulu June 22, 2012 with arrival at Midway Atoll National Wildlife Refuge on or about June 27th or 28th 2012. The barge must transport scrap metal from Midway NWR and stop at Kalaeloa to off-load scrap metal on the return trip to Honolulu. Barge is necessary to transport dump trucks, excavators, IMOs to carry fuel, and numerous containers of soil treatment solution and supplies. American Marine Corporation is the only know firm with the equipment and qualifications to perform services at the time frame noted above. The Service intends to award Sole Source to Amercian Marine Corporation of Honolulu Hawaii. This synopsis is a notice of intent to issue award using other than full and open competition and is not a request for competitive proposals. The determination of the Government not to open subject requirement to full and open competition was made IAW FAR 6.302-1. Technical inquiries may be directed to Carlton Morris at 503-231-6143.
