SOLE SOURCE SYNOPSIS - Relocation Of Hewlett Packard Equipment Under Warrentee

NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center, Philadelphia Division, Contracting Department, Norfolk intends to acquire on a sole source basis contractor support from Hewlett Packard for the Office of Civilian Human Resources (OCHR). OCHR requires contractor support in the physical relocation of all Hewlett Packard hardware from Washington Navy Yard, DC to Denver, CO in August 2013. OCHR’s infrastructure is comprised of HP hardware, mandated by DOD and DON, all under a site service/maintenance agreement as required by DON IT/IA directives. In order to sustain full warranty of the HP hardware and per DOD/DCPAS requirements, OCHR must: Use HP’s Relocation Services to relocate the infrastructure. Failure to relocate the hardware, estimated value of $14M, will void all warranties associated with the hardware; HP Relocation Services guarantees all hardware, under warranty, that is physically damaged or does not perform its functionality once relocated will be repaired or replaced at no additional cost to OCHR; HP Relocation Services ensures HP representatives and technical staffs will verify, de-install equipment at the current site, and ensure equipment is package for a safe relocation; HP Relocation Services ensures HP representatives and technical staffs will re-install and verify equipment at the new/relocated site. In addition to the HP Relocation Services and as part of the DCC procedures, OCHR will also be acquiring HP Recycling Services to dispose of past shelf-life hardware no longer used within OCHR’s HR infrastructure as of July 2013. It is intended affirm fixed-price purchase order will be awarded on a sole source basis to Hewlett Packard. The period of performance shall be 23 August 2013 through 13 September 2013. This shall be the only notice as a solicitation will not be issued. The closing date of this synopsis will be 1430, Friday, June 21, 2013. The Government intends to issue a single sole source FFP purchase order to contractor Hewlett Packard. The applicable NAICS code is 484210.
