Sole Source Award to Old Dominion Transity Mangement, Co (transit authority) to issue transit fare media

On a SOLE-SOURCE basis, the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT's) Office of the Secretary, Acquisitions Services plans to make a sole source award to Old Dominion Transit Management, Co (Greater Richmond Transit Commission), for the issuance of transit fare media in support of the Federal Government Transit Benefit Program, currently ran by the Department of Transportation TRANServe Office. USDOT has no other option for purchasing fare media from Old Dominion Transit Management Co., because sole transit authority for the greater Richmond, VA area. Although the Government will continue to evaluate, on an ongoing basis, any interest shown by sources interested in competing for this requirement on subsequent acquisitions, it is not expected that any vendor other than Old Dominion will be able to provide this product. Nevertheless, any entity, other than Old Dominion Transit Management Co., which believes they can provide the needed fare media products to TRANServe, shall submit a capability statement to [email protected] no later than 12:00 PM EST on October 2, 2013.
