The Mission & Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Fort Benning, Georgia anticipates extending the existing contract, W911SF-10-C-0004, with Air Methods Corporation, 7960 Jecelin Road, Fort Benning, Georgia 31905 for an additional five (5) months pending award of a competitive, follow-on contract. The Contractor provides rotary wing service, fully trained personnel (referred to as medical flight crews), medical equipment, and all necessary supplies to perform air medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) service for Fort Benning, Georgia. Evacuations include locales in Georgia and surrounding states. The existing contract expires March 31, 2013. The period of performance for the extension is April 1, 2013 thru August 31, 2013. This extension will provide continuity of service until a new competitive follow-on contract is awarded. Contract extension will be executed as prescribed by FAR 6.302-2. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS AND A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) WILL NOT BE ISSUED.
