THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION NOTICE. THIS IS AN AMENDED NOTICE TO EXTEND THE END DATE FOR THE PUBLIC-PRIVATE COMPETITION OF WAREHOUSING AND MATERIAL DISTRIBUTION SERVICES PERFORMED AT THE DEFENSE DISTRIBUTION DEPOT RICHMOND, VIRGINIA (DDRV). In accordance with Office of Management and Budget Circular A-76 (Revised), Performance of Commercial Activities, May 29, 2003, this notice amends the formal public announcement of a public-private competition of Warehousing and Material Distribution Services performed at the Defense Distribution Depot Richmond, Virginia (DDRV). The incumbent service providers affected by this public-private competition are approximately 115 Department of Defense government personnel positions [115 DoD civilians and no military], and four contracts for IT support, hazardous spill clean-up, refuse removal, and custodial services. A standard competition will be conducted in accordance with the revised circular. The solicitation will be issued at a later date. Prospective private sector and public reimbursable service providers are encouraged to respond to the solicitation. The Department of Defense Competitive Sourcing Official is Mr. Phillip Grone, Deputy Under Secretary of Defense (Installations and Environment). The DoD Component Competitive Sourcing Official for the Defense Logistics Agency is the Director, Vice Admiral Keith W. Lippert, SC, USN. The official start date for this public-private competition was previously announced as February 18, 2005. The projected end date of this competition is revised and extended to August 17, 2007 with this announcement. A follow-up notice will be released advising of the issuance of the request for proposals. The contracting officer is Ms. Deborah R. Raita, Director, DLA A-76 Contracting Support Office.
