This is a notice of intent for a Sole Source Justification for a six month contract to continue Bay Pines Veterans Medical Center (VAMC), North Florida/South Georgia, Tampa and Orlando VAMCs Pandemic Flu Warehouse Services with the current provider, Tidewater Management, for the period of 01 October 2011 through 31 March 2012. This bridge contract is required to allow the Government sufficient time to process a competitive long term contract. The total estimated value of the six month period is $105,046.20. This action is necessary due to a pending competitive procurement for a long-term contract to provide these services, the transition time that may be necessary to allow for a new contractor, and the unacceptability of a lapse in continuous service. The current contract for warehouse management services of pandemic flu supplies with Tidewater Management will expire on September 30, 2011. A competitive long-term contract for these services will be processed in the near future. An interim contract is necessary to provide continuous service. Due to the need for adequate transition time and procurement evaluation, Tidewater Management, the incumbent service provider, is the only possible Responses are not being solicited to this notice. Any comments should be submitted by September 30, 2011 to
[email protected]. The approved justification document will be posted following contract award.
