In compliance with the transparency and accountability requirements associated with the supplemental appropriations provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009, Pub, L. 111-5, the Department of Energy (DOE) posts this special notice in its intent to issue a task order supplemental agreement under an existing, competitively awarded, cost plus fixed fee task order. The task order was awarded under the Energy Information Omnibus Procurement II multiple award IDIQ. The DOE task order number is DE-DT0000475 and the contractor is National Opinion Research Center (NORC) located in Chicago, IL. The contractor's DUNS number is 069512291. The original task order was issued on June 19, 2009 in the amount of $11,542,750 and expires on January 11, 2011. The purpose of this modification is to provide Recover Act funding for Subtasks 4 (Data Collection), 5 (Data Processing), 7 (Quality Control and Performance Statistics) and 9 (Post Survey). This supplemental agreement will permit the contractor to complete the requirements to provide support of the 2009 Residential Energy Consumption Survey: Household Survey. The Residential Energy Consumption Survey is the Energy Information Administration's instrument for collecting data about how energy is being used in the residential sector of the economy.
