Cancellation of Department of Defense Public-Private Competition of Active Duty Dental Health Care and Ancillary Services Performed by the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Health Affairs) [ASD(HA)], TRICARE Management Activity, Military Medical Support Office (MMSO) located at Great Lakes Naval Base, IL. In accordance with Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-76 (Revised), Performance of Commercial Activities, May 29, 2003, Attachment B, Paragraph B.3.a., this notice represents the formal public announcement of cancellation of the public-private competition of Active Duty Dental Health Care and Ancillary Services performed at the Military Medical Support Office (MMSO) located at Great Lakes Naval Base, IL. Further detailed analysis of the government's requirements has resulted in a determination to eliminate the need to process claims submitted by active duty military. Therefore, no conversion of work performed by government employees will take place when a network of preferred providers is acquired by the Department. Notification of the government's new requirement for a network of preferred providers for Active Duty Dental Program services will be published in the FedBizOpps at a future date.
