NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLICIT USINGOTHER THAN FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION This is a notice of intent for the General Services Administration to solicit space for the United States Department Agriculture / Office of Inspector General (USDA/OIG) and the Public Building Service (FBF) in Birmingham, Al, from Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center Authority (2100 Richard Arrington Blvd. Jr. North, Birmingham, AL) the current lessor. The Government will negotiate a succeeding lease at the existing location (950 22nd Street North, Birmingham, AL). This is due to the economic benefit i.e. relocation/moving of personal property, telecommunication relocation, disruption, and tenant improvement costs which are not expected to be recovered through full and open competition. The government will negotiate with the current lessor to lease for USDA/OIG & PBS /FBF for approximately 6,000 rentable square feet of office space, storage area, break room area, computer area, conference and training area and no less than 5 inside secured parking spaces. Delineated Area: The space must be located in the Central Business District of Birmingham, Al. Other considerations: Offerors should consider the costs for relocation, telecommunications and tenant improvements as well as the capability of providing alternate/backup power for the computer data center. Required: All services, supplies, utilities, and tenant alterations to be provided as part of the rental consideration. Occupancy: The space is required on or before June 15, 2008.
