W -- Rental of Storage Trailer

The Fleet Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, DET Philadelphia, proposes the rental of storage trailer space for the Naval District Washington (NDW), Facilities Management Department, on a sole-source, urgent basis to Allstate rentals. Currently NDW is storing 173 cubicles in 11 Allstate 40 ft Trailers located at Anacostia Naval Station using a NAVSEA Contract. These trailers were loaded with NDW furniture in a quick turnaround requirement requested by Homland Security @ the NDW Nebraska Ave Complex. Allstate was hired by NAVSEA to remove and store systems furniture for use at Washington Navy Yard for 30 days. It has been determined that it would not be cost effective to move the furniture from the existing Allstate trailers into other trailers for storage. Additionally, the NAVSEA contract with Allstate expires on 30 March. NDW Central Area Public Works will need a contractual vehicle in place with Allstate to meet furniture storage and movement of trailers requirement by 30 March, so it is of an urgent nature that continuity of services is maintained by Allstate.
