The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 22, is issuing this notice of intent (NOI) to inform industry contractors of the Government s intent to execute a Sole Source award under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), specifically FAR Subpart 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items with The University of California, San Diego, located at 9500 Gilman Dr. La Jolla, CA, 92093. This requirement will be used for Procurement of fMRI scanning hours needed for a fMRI Pilot Study being conducted for the VA San Diego Healthcare System (VASDHS). VA San Diego Healthcare System Mental Health Department is requesting a single source procurement for fMRI scanning hours needed for a fMRI Pilot Study being conducted for the VA San Diego Healthcare System (VASDHS). 1. Provide fMRI research specific pulse sequences for data acquisition. 2. Have multiband multiecho scanning for connectome quality. 3. Have private exam rooms for subject preparation and testing for up to 2 hours. 4. Have MRI compatible projection equipment for presenting visual stimuli. 5. Be same scanner used to collect previous data under same protocol. The proposed period of performance will be from 4/15/2020 through 4/14/2021. The estimated value is of $10,746.00 for the life of the contract. This procurement is being conducted using commercial item procedures pursuant to FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), specifically FAR Part 13.106-1(b). Allowing contracting officers to solicit from a Single Source for procurements not exceeding the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. This will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) award and an anticipated award date is set for 4/15/2020.
