Network Contracting Office 17, VHA, Department of Veterans Affairs intends to solicit and award a Purchase Order to Bracco Diagnostics Inc, 259 Prospect Plains Road, Monroe Township, NJ 08831 for 11 Month lease of "Brand Name" Cardiogen-82 Infusion System for the North Texas Veterans Health Care System, Dallas VA Medical Center, Dallas TX 75216 under authority of 41 USC 253(G)(1) Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements per FAR 6.302-1. The Contractor will provide "Brand Name" Cardiogen-82 Infusion System. The resulting purchase will be a Firm-Fixed Price Agreement. The designated North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 532490 with a small business size standard of 7 million dollars. This synopsis is for notification purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids or proposals. No Solicitation will be published. Responses to this notice, if any, must show clear and convincing evidence that competition is attainable and more advantageous to the Government. This 'Notice of Intent' to sole-source as the result of Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements per FAR 6.302-1 is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion and authority of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to solicit this requirement as a 'full & open' competitive procurement.
