J--Notice of Intent to Sole Source the ChemDaq Sensor Exchange Service for the Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System

DESCRIPTION: The VA Nebraska Western Iowa Health Care System intends to negotiate a sole source contract with ChemDaq, Inc, 300 Business Center Drive Suite 330, Pittsburgh, PA, under the authority of FAR 6.302-2 due to only having one responsible source that can provide services and required ChemDaq sensors that will meet the requirements of the VA Medical Centers located in Omaha and Grand Island, Nebraska. This is notice of intent to award a sole source under statutory authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1), set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-2, Due to Only One Responsible Source that Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Note - No award will be issued from responses to this notice. Response to this notice does not legally bind the Government in any manner. Your concerns will be considered if you respond to this posting with a similar product/service. The justification for this sole source request is based on the Nebraska Western Iowa HCS maintaining their ChemDaq environmental gas monitoring system that is located at the VA Medical Center located in Omaha and Grand Island, Nebraska. This service is essential to the VA Medical Center complying with all federal and local statutes on environmental compliance. No other sources for the required services and genuine ChemDaq parts can be found. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
