THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT NOTICE. The purpose of this synopsis is to inform the vendor community of the Nashville District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers that the Nashville District intends to award a sole source procurement to Doble Engineeri ng Company, Watertown, MA. The work consists of non-personal services to provide equipment rental for Doble Type M4000 test equipment with accessories and engineering services utilizing NAICS Code 532490, SIC Code 7359, Size Standard $6.5M dollars. The a nticipated award date is on or about 13 November 2007. Solicitation documents are not available. This notice is neither a request for competitive proposals nor a solicitation for offers. However, all proposals or responses received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
