RECOVERY - Replacement of Electrical Systems in Low Containment Animal Facilities Building 3 and 4 at the National Animal Disease Center, Ames, IA

This notice is provided for informational purposes only. The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service intends to modify a firm-fixed price contract for bid phase services necessary for the Replacement of Electrical Systems in Low Containment Animal Facilities Building 3 and 4 at the National Animal Disease Center, Ames, IA in the total amount of $25,236. This task order was awarded against an existing indefinite quantity contract for A-E services. The contract was competed in accordance with the Brooks Act and FAR 36.6 Architectural and Engineering (A-E) Services. The selection of Bailey Edwards was based upon criteria which included the following: overall technical expertise, specialized technical knowledge, specialized knowledge of the location where the work will be performed, and an internal analysis of cost. These additional construction services arouse under performance of the current task order and have been deemed necessary and within scope of the original contract. This opportunity is available only under Task Order No. AG-3K15-D-08-0024. This modification will be awarded to Bailey Edwards Design, Inc., 35 E. Wacker Drive, Tower Floor 28, Chicago, IL 60601.
