RECOVERY. This notice is provided for informational purposes only. This project is funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service intends to award a firm-fixed price contract modification to Delta Engineers, P.C. of Binghamton, NY, for additional architectural and engineering (A-E) to incorporate design changes and additional construction administration services to their previously completed designs for the air conditioning chiller replacement, 10,000 gallon underground storage tank replacement and emergency generator replacement at the USDA Human Nutrition Research Center for Aging (HNRCA) in Boston, MA. This Modification is against an existing contract for A-E services. The selection of Delta Engineers, P.C. was based on their overall technical expertise, specialized technical knowledge, specialized knowledge of the location where the work will be performed, and their unique knowledge of the Government's requirement and because they produced the original design, for which liability is associated.
