H--The annual inspection and re-certification of the Rapid Response Deluge System

Sole Source Intent: The United States Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command - Yuma Proving Ground (MICC-YPG), U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Yuma, Arizona, intends to negotiate a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) service contract on a sole source basis with Pyrotech International Incorporated, 1980 Stony Hill RD, Hinckley, Ohio 44233. This requirement will be for the annual inspection and re-certification of the Rapid Response Deluge System; and four (4) LMF-7489 Portable Rapid Response Deluge Systems located at USAYPG of which Pyrotech International is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). This company is the only source with the proprietary knowledge and demonstrated expertise to maintain the integrity and safety of the 'whole' system currently in use in the highly volatile environment of ammunition handling in support of the test mission. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
