D -- Intent to Sole Source: McLaren Enterprise Engineer Foundation Client Renewal

It is the Governments intent to sole source the following items to McLaren Software Inc.: Item No. 0001: Enterprise Engineer Foundation Client – Contributor License Annual Standard Support & Maintenance Renewal; Quantity = 360 Item No. 0002: Enterprise Engineer Foundation Client – Consumer License Annual Standard Support and Maintenance Renewal; Quantity = 240 These items will be sole sourced on the following basis: The Governement's CAD Library Project Management team determined that the only engineering COTS product that can integrate with Documentum and is supported by EMC Documentum is McLaren Enterprise Engineer. There are no software alternatives that can allow Documentum to work with CAD drawings and support of the CAD Library cannot continue without utilization of the Enterprise Engineer software. The CAD Library is composed of approximately 30 CAD Library servers, that need to be maintained, and 600 Documentum licenses and many people and projects would be affected without these services. McLaren Software is the developer of the software and the software is proprietary in nature.
