FSA - ITSD Infrastructure Stabilization Data Warehouse (ISDW) Application Development Support Services

This notice is for informational purposes only and is intended to provide notification of the use of funds authorized under the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act of 2009 on this contract. The United States Department of Agriculture, Farm Service Agency awarded a contract to Accenture, LLC on 9/11/2008 for FSA - ITSD Infrastructure Stabilization Data Warehouse (ISDW) Application Development Support Services. This contract action is a modification to add Recovery Act funds to the original funding used on the contract. This project will: • Develop a strategy to insure data communications are consistent across FSA • Create a new data warehouse environment capable of supporting the agency’s enterprise reporting needs • Migrate existing individual data marts to the new agency-wide data warehouse environment • Create an Enterprise Data Warehouse for all of FSA that provides a one-stop-shop for FSA data, metadata, and consistent access methods for enterprise-wide reporting. A data warehouse is a repository of the organization's electronically stored data and is designed specifically for reporting and analysis. It provides the means to retrieve and analyze data, to extract, transform and load data, and to manage the data definitions (metadata). The FSA Enterprise Data Warehouse is to provide information to FSA national, state, and county personnel. It is expected to be continually expanding by building upon existing information and providing new business-driven data that is important to FSA’s business enterprise. This contract continues the development and expansion of this effort. Heavy focus within this project is placed on data quality as enterprise data from independent systems is integrated into a single reporting structure. This will not only allow for a better understanding of the data, but will result in validated and consistent data, thus achieving the ability to “speak the same language." This award is a fixed price contract and was awarded competitively.
