Request for Information for DOE SBIR/STTR Commercialization Assistance Program (CAP)

The U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Programs Office is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to gain public input on its efforts to improve the existing DOE commercialization assistance to SBIR/STTR awardees. The Commercialization Assistance Program (CAP) provided to Phase I and Phase II DOE SBIR/STTR awardees was designed to assist small businesses in the successful commercialization of their innovations. The information sought under this RFI is intended to redefine the scope and priorities of the CAP to make it more effective in aiding small business awardees to reach the market. The information collected may be used for internal DOE SBIR/STTR Programs Office planning and decision-making purposes to align future commercialization activities with its goal to enhance small business competitiveness.
