NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Indian Health Service (IHS) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Baby Friendly USA for professional support services. These services will allow the Indian Health Service to comply with Baby Friendly Initiative and maintain annual certification BFUSA is the only known source which can offer the required support for recertification of Baby-Friendly Designated facilities within IHS. This contract action is for the services that Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority under the authority of 41 United States Code (U.S.C.) 253(c)(1) as set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties who believe they possess the capabilities to satisfy this requirement should submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to meet this requirement.
