Small Business Outreach Event: How to Survive and Thrive in a Category Management Environment

Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) will host an Industry Education Event "How to Survive and Thrive in a Category Management Environment" on 8/15/19 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hilton Springfield, 6550 Loisdale, Springfield, VA 22150. DTRA will provide an overview of our mission, what we buy and how to do business with us. DTRA has invited General Services Agency (GSA), National Aeronautical and Space Agency (NASA), Army, and Department of Health (DIH) to present information about their Best-in-Class Category Management contract vehicles (OASIS, SEWP, NITAAC, CHESS, 8(a) STARS, VETS GWAC, Global Supply, OS3, Alliant Small Business, BMO). The subject matter experts (SMEs) will discuss requirements such as experience and certifications necessary to be eligible to receive an award under their contract vehicle. The SMEs will also present information about how often and how they "on-ramp" new vendors onto their contract vehicles. This event is free. No breakfast is served. Lunch will be on your own.
