Announcement of Results for CMS A-76 Streamlined Study –Performance Management, Office of Operations Management

In accordance with the Revised Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-76, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has conducted a Streamlined Competition of Performance Management, Office of Operations Management. This study was announced on 7 May 2008. In accordance with Public Law 109-115 (119 STAT. 2506, Section 842), CMS developed the Most Efficient Organization (MEO) utilizing the Streamlined Methodology. CMS waived the 45-day extension option when developing the MEO. The outcome of this Streamlined Study was determined, in part, by using documented market research. CMS has completed this study effective May 23, 2008. The results of this study confirm that it is more cost effective to retain the studied commercial activity in-house. This service is currently provided by fifteen (15) Federal Government employees. This streamlined competitive sourcing study was conducted at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, 7500 Security Blvd., Baltimore, MD 21244-1850.
