Utilizing simplified acquisition procedures, the General Services Administration’s Public Building Service (GSA/PBS) intends to award a contract to the National Academy of Sciences, Washington, DC in accordance with 41 U.S.C 245 (c) (3) – Industrial mobilization; engineering, developmental, or research capability; or expert services. No other solicitation documents are available. Under this proposed action, GSA will provide funding to the Federal Facilities Council (FFC) for the purpose of furthering its mission to identify and advance technologies, processes, and disposal. The FFC is a cooperative association of 24 federal agencies with interest and responsibilities related to all aspects of facility design, acquisition, management, maintenance and evaluation. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and a determination by the government to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
