The purpose of this notice is to provide information based on this requirement. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 9, Regional Procurement Office-Central, on behalf of the Troy Bowling, Lexington Veterans Affairs Medical Center located at 1104 Veterans Drive, Lexington, KY, 40502-2235 intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source award to the University of Kentucky, Division of Laboratory Animal Resources located at 204 Health Science Research Building, Lexington, KY 40536. This award will be for five (5) years to facilitate the animal portions of approved research protocols in the Veterinary Medical Unit located at the VA Medical Center, Troy Bowling Campus, 1101 Veterans Drive, Lexington, KY 40502.. This sole source award to the University of Kentucky is in accordance with 38 U.S.C. 8153(a)(3)(B)(i) as implemented by way of the procedures outline in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 13.5. This Sole Source is authorized under FAR subpart 13.501 - soliciting from one source if the contracting officer s justification is accurate and complete to the best of their knowledge and belief. This is not a request for competitive offers, quotes, or capability statements. However, interested parties may identify their interest by responding to this notice no later than April 8, 2022 at 2:00PM, Central Standard Time (CST). No solicitation will be posted as a result of this notice. This notice complies with FAR 5.101. This Special Notice is being issued for information purpose only.
