In accordance with OMB Circular A-76 (Revised May 29, 2003), the U.S. Department of Education (ED) announces a performance decision for the Call Center and Training Services for EDCAPS Applications A-76 Streamlined Competition, which was announced in FedBizOpps on June 29, 2007 under Reference Number PA-OCFO2007. The Department calculated, compared, and certified on the A-76 Streamlined Competition Form the costs of the function based on the scope and requirements of the activity to determine if government personnel should perform the activity. On September 26, 2007, the Streamlined Competition Form was certified. The estimated cost of agency performance exceeds the estimated cost of private sector performance. The performance decision favors private sector performance of the function. The official end date of the Standard Competition is September 26, 2007.
