Under Statutory Authority 40 U.S.C. 501 and 41 U.S.C. 251 the VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with This contract is for Siemens Industry INC for all Fire Suppression system maintenance and repairs for the Jesse Brown VAMC in Chicago IL. The Siemens Fire Suppression System is a major system covering multiple buildings across the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center that is highly specialized to the field of life safety. The vendor must be trained and certified to work on the equipment. Siemens is the manufacturer, or the equipment listed in part 3 of this document. They are the only provider of the proprietary software used to service this system and are the only ones who can program the panels. The contractor shall provide all labor, travel, supervision, materials, and the necessary equipment to provide inspections, maintenance, emergency service and repair on the Siemens addressable fire alarm and system components such as controllers, indication devices, initiation devices, water flow/valve supervisory and other equipment. Base year: August 2023 thru July 2024 with 3 (365 day) option periods. A base contract with three option periods at the, Jesse Brown VAMC requires the contractor to continue to supply Siemens Fire Suppression system maintenance and repairs for the Jesse Brown VAMC Siemens Fire Suppression System. The contractor will be responsible shall provide all labor, travel, supervision, materials, and the necessary equipment to provide inspections, maintenance, emergency service and repair on the Siemens addressable fire alarm and system components such as controllers, indication devices, initiation devices, water flow/valve supervisory and other equipment detailed below. The existing Siemens device addressable fire alarm systems are located in Buildings 1A, 1B, 5, 7, 11A, 11B, 15, 18, 21, 26, 27, 30, 32 (TMB), 40, (after installation,) and 42 at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago, IL. Devices in Buildings 40 Bed Tower, Veteran s Benefits Regional Office and Parking Garage are not included. This acquisition is conducted under the authority of 40 U.S.C. 501 and 41 U.S.C. 251 implemented in FAR 8.405-6, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This will be a firm fixed price contract for a base plus three option year period. The NAICS Code is 561210. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and service to the Contracting Officer 10:00AM (CST) 04/30/2023. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Contracting Officer will proceed with the sole source negotiation with the Siemens Industry INC.
