NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - U.S. Embassy Dakar Chancery High Voltage Supply and Power Switch Gear maintenance service

This is not a solicitation. This is a NOTICE OF INTENT to award a single source procurement under NAICS Code 561210 The U.S. Embassy Dakar, Senegal will award a contract to SENELEC, Rue Vincens, Dakar – SENEGAL, to provide maintenance service to the Chancery High Voltage Supply and Power Switch Gear system. The estimated period of performance will be for one year plus 04 one-year options to be exercised at the USG’s discretion. The contract will be under NAICS Code 561210 to SENELEC, Rue Vincens, Dakar – SENEGAL. This is a sole source requirement in accordance with authority citation, 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1), Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 6.302-1, entitled “Only one responsible source and no other supplies or service will satisfy agency requirements”. For this requirement, SENELEC is the only known source and the only power company in Senegal. They provide the power and regulate the service. However, any bids, proposals or quotations or capability statements received as a result will be considered in accordance with FAR 5.102 (a) (1).
