S--Lab Equipment Maintenance Plan uutilizing OEM technicians to service NHRC OID Laboratoty Equuipment.

The U.S. Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground, Natick Contracting Division, has a requirement for OEM Equipment Maintenance Plan. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with The REMI Group, LLC, operating as a Small Business located in Charlotte, NC under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)-Soliciting from a single source, only one source reasonable available. Because the lab equipment is comprised of various brands, each with its own proprietary specifications and warranty, NHRC OID requires a comprehensive maintenance service agreement that will utilize original equipment manufacturer (OEM) technicians rather than general multi-brand technicians. Market Research conducted concluded that The REMI Group, LLC is the only vendor capable of providing the requirement as defined. In addition, The REMI Group, LLC allows the end user to utilize their preferred service provider, thereby ensuring that proprietary equipment is properly services by OEM technicians to meet laboratory and national standards. Pursuing separate (unconsolidated) contracts with each OEM service provider would be prohibitive to the government in terms of cost, inefficiency, and logistical difficulties. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561210. The Federal Supply/Service Class Code is S201 and the Small Business Size Standard is 500. This is not a Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
