Upgrade Existing Intrusion Detection Device and install Access Control System at NCIS Offices at NAS, Sigonella, Italy

This is a sole source requirement in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Naval Criminal Investigative Service Acquisition Division intends to award a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Motorola Solutions to Upgrade an existing Instrusion Detection System device and install the Access Control System located at the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) Offices at Naval Air Station (NAS), Bldg 469, Sigonella, Italy. Motorola Solutions currently provides the monitoring equipment used by base security at NAS Sigonella, Italy. This solicitation for commercial items is prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. This action is solicited as an unrestricted solicitation. Award of this requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12, Acquistion of Commercial Items. The anticipated award date is 30 April 2014. A determination not to compete this procurement based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
