M--MICC-Fort Carson contracting office intends to issue a sole source bridge contract supporting DOL Logistic Support Services at Fort Carson Colorado.

This synopsis is notification of the Mission and Installation Contracting Command-Fort Carson's intent to award an interim bridge contract to the incumbent contractor, Ki, LLC, under contract W911RZ-05-D-0009, to provide continued logistic support services at Fort Carson, Colorado. The period of performance of the bridge contract is 30 March 2013 through 29 September 2013. The contract type is a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) contract. The interim bridge contract will provide uninterrupted services at Fort Carson pending finalization of a follow-on contract, currently under solicitation W911RZ-12-R-0001. This action is accomplished under authority cited in 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition, and there would be unacceptable delays in fulfilling mission requirements. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS and is posted for five (5) calendar days. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this six-month period would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the bridge contract will be issued without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this contract is based on this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government.
