**NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE** This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source firm-fixed price ID/IQ Life Support Services contract and is not a request for competitive proposals. Afghanistan Engineer District-North, Kabul, Afghanistan intends to solicit a proposal and enter into a contract with U.S. Training Center, Inc., P.O. Box 1029, Moyock, NC 27958, for life support services. The statutory authority for this sole source procurement is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1)or 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) per FAR 6.302-1. Description: The Afghanistan Engineer District-North (AED-N) intends to negotiate, by means other than full and open competition, a firm-fixed price contract for life support services for 51 personnel in support of AED-N, specifically the Kabul Area Office(KAO), the Operations and Maintenance Construction Branch (O&M), and General Dynamics Information Technologies (GDIT) at Camp Integrity, Afghanistan. Life support availability required NLT 5 days upon award of contract. AED-N is executing a lease agreement with U.S. Training Center to secure office and billeting spaces within a compound where these services are being provided. This requirement is not set aside for small business. The NAICS code for this action is 561210. The anticipated period of performance will be three years from date of award, 1 base year and 2 Option years. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government shall consider all responses received within fifteen days of this posting. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill the requirement. A solicitation is not available.
