R--Justification and Approval synopsis to extend CONUS Support Base Services from 1 January 2011-23 January 2011.

The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington intends to award a sole-source modification to extend contract Number W911S8-07-C-9000 for a 23 day period, from 1 January 2011-23 January 2011, to Logistics Solutions Group, Inc. for the CONUS Support Base Services. Under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(B), these services are required by the agency and are available from this responsible source, and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy the needs of the agency, or it will result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements. A determination not to compete this requirement is based on market research and is solely within the discretion of the Government. This announcement is not a request for competitive proposals.
